BBR Coaches Award!
Ali, a force of unwavering determination, strides into the gym with a resolute purpose. Her commitment is etched in every bead of sweat that hits the floor. Consistency is her mantra, and she wears it like a badge of honour. From the moment she stepped through the doors of BBR, she has been a relentless force, a fixture in the early morning sessions, and a testament to the power of persistence. The weights may tremble under her grasp, but Ali stands unyielding, her resolve unshakable. Her strength is not just physical; it’s a quiet force that emanates from within, pushing her to surpass her limits day after day. And the results? They echo through the gym, reverberating off the walls—a chiselled physique, a body that speaks of discipline and dedication. Ali is the embodiment of what countless gym-goers aspire to be: strong, lean, and defined. She is more than a role model; she’s the living embodiment of their loftiest “goals”.
BBR: Firstly, How long have you been training at BBR and what brought you to BBR / How did you
find us?
AT: I’ve been training at BBR for 14 months. I was initially drawn to the gym because I wanted to change
my focus from being cardio fit to looking lean, fit, and strong. I came across BBR on Instagram when it
was opening the Airport location. I decided to look into it with a few friends and instantly loved the style
of training.
What was your first impression of BBR? What did you see or hear and how did it compare to
your experience?
My first impression of BBR was positive. The place was new, had a great vibe, and everyone was
focused on their workout. It definitely matched up with the expectations I had seen on Instagram. Since
joining, I’ve been impressed by the supportive community atmosphere and the effective workout
programs that have led me to achieve my goals. The coaches are friendly but gosh do they make you
work at the same time. Overall great experience!!
RESULTS! Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share. Can you please tell us your results
since starting at BBR and in the last 6 week challenge? Weight loss? DEXA Scan? Blood work?
Body fat and lean muscle? Belt sizes? Dress sizes?
Since starting at BBR 14 months ago I have seen a massive change in my body composition and
physique. This challenge I set myself the goal of losing 6kg, but also working harder to strengthen my
lower body. Since finishing, I have lost 5.5kg, dropped 5cm around my waist and I have learnt the tools
to continue strengthening my body and mind. I look and feel the healthiest I have been in over a year!
What other benefits have you experienced since joining BBR?
BBR has a fantastic community atmosphere and I have been able to interact and share experiences
with like minded people. We all go through our good and bad days; however, the gym is my safe and
happy place. I know that when I enter the door, I’m there for myself and to celebrate everyone’s wins.
What challenges did you have to overcome during the 6 Week Challenge?
I have always had a massive sweet tooth and I was not going to let it control me. The first week I
experienced headaches and cravings every day. I pushed through and after the first week I started to
feel more energetic.
What surprised you the most about your experience during the 6-week challenge?
I was surprised the most about how easy it was to say no after you can start to see progress as you
want to keep doing better. It was also surprising at how quickly you can start to see results just by
changing your eating habits.
How did the support from the community or your fellow challenge participants contribute to
your success?
Being able to receive and give support to fellow members was a lifesaving aspect to this challenge. We
were able to keep each other accountable and talk each other through the tough times. Everyone had
different previous experiences and advice to pass on which was very helpful.
What strategies or habits did you develop during the challenge that you plan to continue in your
fitness journey?
- Meal prepping Sunday and Wednesday so food doesn’t go bad, and you feel like you’re eating
fresher food.
- Plan your meals prior to food shopping so you don’t buy unnecessary items.
- Showing up no matter what
Any inspiring words for people who are considering participating in the next 6 week challenge?
