Merete’s Inspiring 6-Week Challenge Journey at BBR

BBR: Firstly, how long have you been training at BBR and what brought you to BBR / How did you

find us?

One year! My friend Talei persuaded me to come



What was your first impression of BBR? What did you see or hear and how did it compare to

your experience?

Before I came, I thought everyone were going to be snobby and super fit and I

was reluctant to come. But once I got there it wasn’t like that at all and I felt very welcome and

included, have loved (and still do) the energy and the vibe in the classes from the very

beginning.


RESULTS! Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share. Can you please tell us your results

since starting at BBR and in the last 6 week challenge? Weight loss? DEXA Scan? Blood work?

Body fat and lean muscle? Belt sizes ? Dress sizes?

The biggest change was the July challenge where I lost 4 kgs but my body continue to change

shape which is evident when I compare July and March after photos. I’m now at a happy weight

and I have formed really good life habits, feeling proud of my achievement and so much

stronger and confident in myself. All my clothes fit so much better now.


What other benefits have you experienced since joining BBR?

Making new friends and feeling part of a community.


What challenges did you have to overcome during the 6 Week Challenge?

My biggest challenge every time is to say NO to wine and sweets.


What surprised you the most about your experience during the 6-week challenge?

That I could do it!


How did the support from the community or your fellow challenge participants contribute to your

success?

It’s definitely inspiring and encouraging being part of the Facebook group and really

helped on the first challenge to understand how it worked


What strategies or habits did you develop during the challenge that you plan to continue in your

fitness journey?

Meal prep for Monday-Friday daytime, which I have done since the July one. and keep

training 6 days per week.


Any inspiring words for people who are considering participating in the next 6 week challenge?

Just do it for yourself! You wont regret it!!

What trainer scares you the most? None, you are all so nice.

Best training buddy? Alicia King, Talei and Jen

What’s your coffee order? I don’t drink coffee, tea all day long..

Sweet or savoury? Sweet

Favourite restaurant and meal? Nobu and shellfish

Proudest moment in the gym? Every time I hit a PB
